Week four of banding at blind two saw us open for five of the seven days – we were closed on 28 April so Ed and I could fill in for Gracie at the Mackinac Island hawk count, and on 29 April due to rain. Still, we banded 21 birds: 16 sharp-shinned hawks, and five red-tailed hawks. We also had our season high for number of birds banded in a day on 2 May with 10 bands deployed.

One of 16 sharp-shinned hawks banded during the 4th week of banding at blind two. This is a juvenile (second year) female.
