MISSION
The mission of Mackinac Straits Raptor Watch is to conduct research in the Straits of Mackinac Area on migrating birds of prey, to support their conservation, and to inform and inspire people about them.

CORE WORK
Mackinac Straits Raptor Watch focuses its efforts in three strategic directions:
RESEARCH
We will expand the quality and breadth of our research to better understand migration patterns and characteristics occurring in the Straits of Mackinac corridor.
SUPPORT CONSERVATION
We will provide regional data to local, national, and international organizations to aid in conserving and protecting habitat for migrating birds of prey.
INSPIRE AND INFORM
We will provide a variety of educational opportunities about raptors and the importance of the Straits of Mackinac corridor via media, presentations, programs, and events.
