Wow, that’s a lot of Red-tails!

Despite dodging showers and East winds for much of this week, Red-tailed hawks have really hit their stride for the season; with a vengeance! After building all week with several days of good flights, yesterday was nothing short of spectacular. By the end of the day, a new single-day record for the watch had been set with 7,381 Red-tail tallied for the day. Other species are also being seen in good numbers now too, most notably Sharp-shins and Rough-legged Hawks.
