Well if you guessed American Redstart for last week’s armchair challenge, you were right! This is a female bird, not quite as striking as the male, but stunning nonetheless. Redstarts have begun to leave the Mackinac region, but when they return in Spring, be on the lookout for these beauties as they skulk in the trees/bushes.
For this week, the subject isn’t actually perched on the chair… However, it is within frame and so I am counting it as an armchair bird!
