400

Before this banding season began my expectation was that we would catch 400 saw whets. Maybe even get to 500 if we were lucky. Last night we finally hit the 400 mark finishing with 403. Hitting 500 is out of the question.

However, we are very pleased to be where we are. While the season winds down we will appreciate every capture, not certain which one will be our last for the season.

We have also captured 7 Barred Owls and are stuck on 2 Long Eared Owls. Still time left in the season to bump those numbers up. Time to go open for another night of who knows what will happen?
